Axeslinger - You have the same stock pickups in your Gibson Challenger or have you upgraded? I have a Chall. also and thinking of putting in new pickups for better tone. Just don't know if it's an easy thing to do, how much it's going to cost, etc.

Sounds like you all ahve awsome setups. Here is what I'm building, It started life as a 1992 Peavey Predator with three single coils. After years of abuse around the world, the neck got warped, so time for new neck, and paint. I stripped the body put on some simi-flat black paint routed out the body for P-90's. I still haven't got the neck yet, I'm looking at Carvin necks. Hope to get one soon, its only been apart for 1 1/2 years.

NJPunk- I swapped out the stock pickup (It's an '83 Challenger 1, with just the single bridge pickup) for a Kent Armstrong WPU900C. It's a P90 that is sized like a humbucker. The output is 9k, a little hotter than a vintage P90. It sounds awesome!
